VIRTUAL - WiBF Overcoming Perfectionism and Imposter Syndrome

**This WiBF Masterclass offers CPD Points (1 pt)**

Masterclass date: Thursday 15th July 2027

Do you find yourself setting impossibly high standards, second-guessing your abilities or feeling like you need to prove yourself, even when you’re doing well? For many professionals, perfectionism and people-pleasing can become deeply ingrained habits, making it difficult to celebrate achievements, set boundaries or feel confident in their capabilities.

Over time, the pressure to get everything right can take a toll on your wellbeing, confidence and career satisfaction. But what if you could shift your perspective, challenge self-doubt and redefine what success looks like on your own terms?

Join this WiBF Virtual Masterclass to explore the patterns behind perfectionism and imposter syndrome, and discover practical ways to build self-belief, embrace progress over perfection and approach your work with greater confidence.

In this facilitator-led session, you will:

  • Understand the difference between healthy ambition and perfectionistic thinking, and how to recognise when high standards become counterproductive.
  • Identify the underlying beliefs, experiences and triggers that contribute to perfectionism, people-pleasing and imposter feelings.
  • Explore the impact of self-criticism, fear of failure and the pressure to meet expectations on wellbeing and professional performance.
  • Develop strategies to challenge unhelpful thought patterns, build confidence and recognise your achievements without the need for constant validation.
  • Learn how to adopt a more balanced approach to success, manage expectations and create healthier, more sustainable ways of working.

All genders are welcome to participate in the masterclass!
