WiBF had the privilege of hosting an unforgettable event in honor of International Women’s Day. With over 200 guests in attendance, the ANZ & WiBF’s International Women’s Day Lunch took place at the prestigious NSW Art Gallery in Sydney, setting the stage for an inspiring and thought-provoking gathering.

The event, which sold out quickly, featured a captivating panel discussion that delved into crucial topics surrounding the environment, arts, and biodiversity. Our esteemed panelists brought their expertise and insights to the table, emphasising the importance of safeguarding our environment for the benefit of future generations.

We extend our sincere gratitude to Maud Page, Deputy Director and Director of Collections at the Art Gallery of New South Wales, for graciously welcoming and hosting our distinguished panel speakers. Their contributions were instrumental in making the event a resounding success.

The panelists, each accomplished in their respective fields, shared their knowledge and experiences with the audience. Thank you to, Ariadne Gorring, CO-CEO of the Polination Foundation, Dr. Carolyn Hogg, Senior Research Manager of the Australasian Wildlife Genomics Group at the School of Life and Environmental Sciences, Rebecca Mikula-Wright, CEO of the Investor Group on Climate Change (IGCC) and the Asia Investor Group on Climate Change (AIGCC), and Zoe Whitton, Managing Director and Head of Impact at the Pollination Group.

We were also honoured to have Blak Douglas, an accomplished artist and the recipient of the 2022 Archibald Prize, grace our panel. His unique perspective on the environment and artistic expression added depth to the discussion.

The panelists’ engaging insights and thought-provoking dialogue captivated the audience, prompting reflection and inspiring action. Attendees left the event with a renewed sense of urgency and determination to contribute to the preservation of our planet.

We extend our heartfelt appreciation to our member, ANZ, to all our esteemed panelists and to all who attended the event. Together, we can make a difference and leave a positive legacy for generations to come.
