WiBF Applied Confidence Sydney & Melbourne

This month, WiBF members in Sydney and Melbourne stepped into an immersive learning experience designed to transform one of the most important leadership skills of all: confidence in action.

Delivered by the exceptional Dr Louise Mahler, our Applied Confidence program challenged participants to rethink what confidence really means. Far beyond simply “speaking up”, the sessions explored how our voice, body language and presence shape the way we are perceived, trusted and remembered in every professional interaction.

Through highly practical exercises, real-world scenarios and plenty of laughter along the way, attendees discovered how to communicate with greater clarity, influence with authenticity, navigate difficult conversations, and project confidence in both in-person and virtual environments. It was an engaging, hands-on experience that left participants with practical techniques they can immediately apply in the workplace.

A heartfelt thank you to Royal Bank of Canada for generously hosting our Sydney session, and Deakin University for welcoming us to Melbourne. Your support helped create inspiring environments where learning, connection and leadership could flourish.

Thank you also to everyone who joined us over the two days. We can’t wait to see these new skills put into practice as our community continues to lead with confidence, courage and influence.
