Brisbane Community Connect

We were so excited to hold our first WiBF Community Connect in Brisbane, creating a new opportunity for our Queensland members to meet.

It was so special to see more than 50 members of our Brisbane community come together for the sold-out event. The atmosphere was full of energy, with conversations flowing, new connections being made and experiences being shared across different stages of careers and areas of the industry. It was fantastic to see just how much enthusiasm there is for creating more opportunities to connect across our Queensland community.

We’re so pleased to have brought Community Connect to Brisbane for the first time and even happier to see the connections being made. We hope this is the beginning of many more opportunities for our Queensland members to come together, share, learn and support one another. One attendee commented that it was their “first WiBF event and after attending, they’ll definitely be looking out for more opportunities to get involved.”

A big heartfelt thank you to everyone who attended and a special thanks to our QLD WiBF State Leadership Committee Co-chairs Melanie Martin, Jackie Lock and members Diana Flynn, Janet Hughes, Caroline Pauley and Sonya Marshall, for their ongoing time, energy and thoughtful ideas to grow and strengthen our community.

Here’s to the conversations that start at events like these and the connections that continue long after.
