Natalie Vanstone

Natalie is Head of Global Markets, Australia for RBC Capital Markets, and a member of the RBC Sydney Branch Operating Committee.
Natalie is responsible for executing the growth strategy of our Australia Global Markets business comprising Fixed Income Sales & Trading, FX Sales, Equity Sales & Trading, Central Funding, FICC & Equity Research, DCM, Securitization, RSG and Treasury Services.
Natalie has a proven track record in building and managing successful businesses. She began her career as banking and finance lawyer in Auckland, New Zealand before moving into investment banking in London. Natalie joined JP Morgan in the late 1990s after relocating to Australia and held progressively senior roles, including 14 years as Head of Debt Capital Markets. Under Natalie’s leadership, the DCM platform outperformed its peers in the Australian market for more than a decade. After 23 years at JP Morgan, Natalie was appointed Chief Operating Officer, Markets at National Australia Bank before joining RBC in 2021.
Natalie is passionate about diversity and inclusion and has provided support and mentoring to women throughout her three-decade career in financial services. She championed D&I at JP Morgan as a long-term member of the bank’s Women’s Interactive Network and driver of D&I initiatives including mentoring and career development. At RBC, Natalie continues to be strong advocate for D&I. She is a member of RBC’s Australia Diversity Leadership Council, Executive Sponsor of RBC’s Australian Pride Employee Resource Group and is actively involved in mentorship programs within the bank and in the community.
Natalie is a member of the Australian Financial Markets Association and sits on the Markets Governance Committee. She has a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Arts (History) from the University of Otago in New Zealand.
Natalie lives in Sydney with her family.
