WiBF & ANZ Economic Outlook, Sydney

The WiBF & ANZ Economic Outlook 2026 brought together some of Australia’s leading economists in Sydney to unpack the forces influencing our economy, from interest rates and inflation to global markets, productivity and policy. The discussion highlighted a key message: in an environment defined by uncertainty and rapid change, informed perspectives and meaningful dialogue are critical to navigating the opportunities ahead.

Thank you to our exceptional panel for generously sharing their expertise and perspectives:

  • Su-Lin Ong – Former Chief Economist, RBC Capital Markets and Former WiBF Board Member
  • Belinda Allen (B Ec with B App Fin), CFA – Senior Economist Executive Director, Commonwealth Bank
  • Belinda Cheung – Director Economics and Capital Markets team, Future Fund
  • Mahjabeen Zaman – Head of FX Research, ANZ

Thank you also to Richard Yetsenga, Group Chief Economist ANZ for opening the event and to Natalie Vanstone, WiBF President, for closing the afternoon.

We are incredibly grateful to our Corporate Member, ANZ, for hosting another outstanding Economic Outlook event and for their continued support in creating opportunities for our community to learn, connect and engage with some of the industry’s leading voices. With registrations reaching capacity ahead of the event, thank you to everyone who joined us and for contributing to the conversation.
