Help us recognise those championing mental health and wellbeing across our industry

One nomination can lead to another!
Amanda Lee from SW Accountants & Advisors is a powerful reminder that your impact can be recognised in more ways than one.

In 2024, Amanda was awarded the WiBF Award for Achievement in Professional Services, recognising her outstanding contribution to the industry. Just one year later, she was recognised again, taking home the WiBF 2025 Mental Health Champion Award, a category that held deep personal meaning for her.

Amanda’s story highlights something we don’t talk about enough: WiBF Awards aren’t a once-in-a-career opportunity. As careers evolve, impact grows and new passions emerge, there are multiple opportunities to be recognised across different award categories.

And it all starts with a nomination.

In the podcast episode below, recorded shortly after her 2024 award win, Amanda joined WiBF CEO, Stephanie Girard to discuss leadership, resilience, grief recovery, advocacy and the importance of bringing your authentic self to work.

Since then, Amanda has completed her Diploma of Mental Health, launched her first book, “A New Way to Live With Loss” and continued her work supporting individuals and organisations through challenging life experiences, work that ultimately led to her being recognised as the WiBF 2025 Mental Health Champion.

As we look ahead to the WiBF 2026 Awards, we hope Amanda’s journey encourages you to think about the people in your network who are making a meaningful difference to workplace wellbeing and mental health, to nominate them for the WiBF 2026 Mental Health Champion Award.

Take a moment to listen to Amanda’s story – you might just think of someone who deserves a nomination of their own.

A special thank you to Tim Hewson, whose vision and passion helped bring the Mental Health Champion Award to life. We would also like to extend our heartfelt thanks to our sponsor for the WiBF 2026 Mental Health Champion Award, Toyota Finance Australia, and to everyone in the WiBF community who continues to champion mental health and wellbeing. From our members and volunteers to our partners and advocates. In particular, thank you to Shane Brennan, who hosts our monthly meditation series, providing our community with a valuable opportunity to pause, reflect and prioritise wellbeing. Initiatives like these play an important role in fostering a culture where mental health is openly discussed, supported and valued.
