Dr Katherine Deakin

Dr Katherine Deakin recently completed an Australian first research project with the Centre for Social Impact examining gender inequity specific to large Australian financial services. She is currently the Principal Policy, Research and Legislation Officer at MyLeave interfacing government, financial services and the construction sector on shifting industrial relations.

Dr. Deakin has over 15 years professional experience in economic development research and project management within Australia and Indonesia having worked across sectors including financial services, construction and logistics. She is passionate about women’s financial inclusion and has worked and volunteered in a range of advocacy organisations focused on intimate partner violence and employment discrimination.
