A dedicated second-year student at Swinburne University of Technology, Alexander is a mature-age individual with a profound passion for all aspects of Economics and Finance. His present role entails serving as a Study Group leader for Economics, wherein he engages in peer mentoring and delivers presentations to first-year university students. This role exemplifies his unwavering commitment to nurturing the potential of his peers.

Outside of his academic pursuits, Alexander devotes his leisure time to enriching activities such as reading business biographies, exploring internationally, and participating adrenaline-based adventures.

Sophie is an Analyst within the Australia and New Zealand Industrials team in the Global Investment Research division of Goldman Sachs. Sophie joined the firm as a lateral hire in 2021. Sophie holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Warwick.

Lisa Tan is an Executive Director at Goldman Sachs.

Laura Valmorbida is an experienced business and technology Managing Director in Banking with more than 20 years’ experience.  Laura’s work with local and European, Asian and Canadian clients over the years has fostered her passion for bringing brilliant people together to collaborate with human-centred design and technology in delivering innovative and meaningful customer and colleague experiences while accelerating business value in a variety of large-scale transformations and niche new customer offerings across retail, commercial and wholesale banking segments.

Dr. Roshanthi Dias is the Major Discipline Leader of Finance and Lecturer in Finance at Swinburne University of Technology. She has completed her PhD in Finance and an MBA (Finance) from Swinburne University. She also holds BSc. in Banking and Finance from the University of London (London School of Economics). In industry, Roshanthi has worked in the area of equity research in brokerage/investment banking and in foreign direct investment. Her research focuses on risk-taking practices of banks. Central to her work is the role of capital regulation in providing incentives for risk-taking and how financial innovation (i.e. credit default swaps) informs the capital regulation and bank risk-taking. Her primary research interests include Risk, Banking/Regulation, Credit Default Swaps, ESG and Financial Markets.
