Leading with Purpose & Authenticity – WiBF In-Person Masterclass in Auckland

We kicked off our first in-person masterclass of the year in the stunning city of Auckland, New Zealand and what an inspiring session it was! Leading with Purpose & Authenticity, was all about cultivating belonging, autonomy and purpose, while giving leaders the courage to be themselves. Participants left energised, equipped with practical tools and inspired to lead with authenticity in their teams.

Dr Ellen Joan Ford led the session, bringing her award-winning leadership model to life. With insights drawn from her PhD research, corporate experience and a decade of military service. Ellen’s approach is as credible as it is refreshingly human. From advising the Chief of the NZ Army to leading humanitarian efforts evacuating 563 people from Kabul, she doesn’t just speak about leadership, she lives it.

Through interactive discussions and exercises, attendees:

  • Explored how belonging, autonomy, and purpose drive performance
  • Challenged outdated leadership norms and embraced authentic styles
  • Learned how to build inclusive cultures
  • Reflected on their leadership identity and unlocked their unique strengths
  • Practiced adaptive strategies for navigating complexity and change

A huge thank you to the wonderful team at ANZ for hosting this incredible session.
