WiBF State Leadership Committees
Membership of each State Leadership Committee (SLC) will consist of employees of WiBF Corporate Members and Individual Members who will support the WiBF executive team by providing local leadership and direction on WiBF programs, member engagement and provide on the ground logistical support at local WiBF events. Members of each SLC will be excited about furthering the objectives of WiBF in their local states and will offer fresh perspectives and new ideas to empower members of our network to accelerate change across the banking and finance sector as well as in the professional services space.

SLC PARTICIPATION
SLC meetings are held quarterly via Zoom Meeting. There is an expectation that SLC Members attend all SLC
meetings to fulfil the requirements of the role. This is a voluntary role and service on the SLC is without remuneration. There is no set number of hours that an SLC member will contribute, however, it is expected that individual SLC members will commit sufficient time to ensure they meet any commitments they have agreed to as part of this role.
Role Overview:
- An exciting opportunity exists for passionate and proactive WiBF members to join a WiBF State Leadership Committee (“SLC”) in New South Wales, Queensland, Victoria, Western Australia or WiBF’s State Leadership International Committee (SLI) for those who work for one of our members overseas.
Objective:
- Engage, represent, and advance the interests of WiBF and the future of the sector to Corporate Member organisations and the broader banking & finance sector in their local state.
Purpose:
- Support the WiBF executive team by providing local leadership and direction on WiBF programs and member engagement.
- Be instrumental in the design and delivery of local WiBF events.
- Build relationships within and outside Corporate Member organisations, introducing their networks to inspire, engage and create opportunities.
- Network within corporate member organisations to inform and engage stakeholders on WiBF events, courses, and sponsorship opportunities.
- Offer fresh perspectives and new ideas to empower members of the WiBF network to accelerate change across the banking and finance sector.
- Provide on-the-ground logistical support at local WiBF events and programs.
Responsibilities:
- Accountable to WiBF’s Chief Executive Officer.
- Maintain a close and productive working relationship with the SLC and the WiBF executive team.
- Work collaboratively with other members of the SLC and WiBF staff to achieve exceptional results.
- Attend WiBF events and represent WiBF to potential and current members, offering general support as and when required, and being active on social media and digital platforms.
- Assist in delivering wider WiBF objectives.
