“The Imperative of Inclusion in the Green Economy Workforce” webinar  follows up from last year’s WiBF session titled “50 Shades of Green”.  As industries across Asia-Pacific prepare the workforce for the acceleration towards a regenerative and more sustainable future, this session sheds light on the critical role of inclusion and diversity.  Based on research released by Nineby9, this session will delve into the lessons from the digital era, considerations in the green transition, a spotlight on the intersection of gender and sustainability, and call to action for organisations, leaders and individuals.

There is a danger that the shift to net zero will be derailed due to severe skill shortages. LinkedIn’s 2023 Green Skills report shows that the demand for green skills is growing far more rapidly than supply. Since 2022, green talent has increased by 12.3% but jobs needing those skills have risen by 22.4%. One way to meet this urgent and growing demand for green skills is to commit to building a more inclusive workforce and talent pipeline.
