Honouring Sangeeta Venkatesan’s Legacy and Welcoming Natalie Vanstone as WiBF’s New President

After seven successful years leading WiBF as our Board member and President, Sangeeta Venkatesan has decided to step down from the board. As we bid farewell to Sangeeta, we extend our deepest gratitude for her unwavering dedication and leadership. Sangeeta has been an integral part of WiBF since joining the Board in and subsequently being appointed as President in 2021.

Throughout her tenure, Sangeeta has been a champion for driving meaningful conversations, frequently moderating and speaking at WiBF events to elevate critical discussions within our industry. Her deep knowledge, connections, and generosity in sharing insights have strengthened our community, creating invaluable opportunities for our members to learn, grow, and connect.

“It has been a privilege to serve as WiBF President and to work alongside an incredible network of professionals committed to shaping a more inclusive industry. I am confident that under Natalie’s leadership, WiBF will continue to thrive and create lasting impact.” – Sangeeta Venkatesan

As we express our heartfelt thanks to Sangeeta, we are excited to announce Natalie Vanstone as the new President of Women in Banking and Finance (WiBF). Natalie was elected as a WiBF Director in May 2024 and brings more than 30 years of experience in investment banking in Australia, New Zealand, and the UK to this role. Natalie joined RBC Capital Markets in 2021 as Head of Global Markets, Australia, and is a member of the RBC Capital Markets Australia Operating Committee and the RBC Australia Diversity Leadership Council.

Natalie’s deep commitment to fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion in the financial sector makes her an inspiring leader for WiBF’s next chapter.

“I am honoured to take on this role and continue the important work of WiBF in championing gender equity across banking and finance. The collective strength of this community is truly powerful, and I look forward to working alongside WiBF CEO, Stephanie Girard, WiBF Chair, Diana D’Ambra AM, our wonderful WiBF Directors, members, partners, and supporters to drive meaningful change.” – Natalie Vanstone

Please join us in thanking Sangeeta for her invaluable contributions and congratulating Natalie as she embarks on this exciting new chapter with WiBF.
