9th May @ 11:30 am - 1:30 pm AEST

Macquarie alongside WIBF will be hosting an event on Thursday, 9th of May focusing on the gender gap in property ownership and the impact on wealth accumulation. This will be a 120-person maximum event, held at the 50 Martin Place Auditorium, 11:30am-1:30pm, where we will be providing a light lunch prior to the event commencing.

The event will be introduced by Jo Spillane, Macquarie Capital’s Global Head of Private Capital Markets and Executive sponsor of Macquarie’s Gender Equity ENG. We will then hear from our keynote speaker, Eliza Owen from CoreLogic, Head of Research, Australia, who will talk broadly to the gender equity gap in property ownership. Eliza will talk to findings and insights from the ‘Women & Property 2024: Gender Equity in Property Ownership’ report, including the differences between genders and barriers to securing property ownership.

Following this, we will have a panel discussion moderated by Rosalind Coffey, Head of People & Culture, Macquarie Bank and panellists include Campbell Vidgen, Market Head, Private Bank Advisor, Macquarie Bank, Eliza Owen from CoreLogic and Jessica Brady, Money Expert & Financial Adviser. This panel will provide various views around current economic and property environment and ownership vs investing, wealth creation, and extending this discussion to gender gap in superannuation. The panel will enter into a discussion with the moderator and each other, also offering strategies for the audience around these topics. Following this, there will be an opportunity for Q&A with the panellists and audience.
