WiBF 2024 Annual General Meeting

Women in Banking and Finance recently convened its Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Monday, May 20th, 2024, celebrating another year of significant progress and accomplishments. Under the leadership of WiBF’s Independent Chair, Diana D’Ambra AM, the meeting highlighted the organisation’s impressive growth, including the expansion of new programs and a substantial rise in corporate memberships.

During her WiBF President speech, Sangeeta Venkatesan was proud to report a record-breaking year with notable achievements and growth in 2023. The meeting was an opportunity to extend heartfelt thanks to WiBF Vice-President, Christina Tonkin, Company Secretary, Annella Cox, and Directors, Adrienne Bloom, Marla Brefka Heller, Darren Boulos, and Su-Lin Ong. State Leadership Committee Champions, Corporate Members, University Partners, the WiBF Team, and Chief Executive Officer, Stephanie Girard for their continued hard work and support throughout the year. 

During the meeting, WiBF also acknowledged the extensive work WiBF Director Su-Lin Ong accomplished over her 9 years on the Board. She retires by rotation in accordance with the Constitution of WiBF. A special mention was also made to thanked WiBF Director, Rebecca Crabb for her on-going support as Chair of the WiBF FRAC, as she resigned from the Board on 13 May 2024. As well as WiBF Director, Annabelle Kline, Chair of the Remuneration Committee as she resigned from the Board on the 22nd of April, 2024. It was a pleasure working with both of you and we are so appreciative of their support over the last two years.

WiBF also welcomed a new Director, Natalie Vanstone, Head of Global Markets, Australia for RBC Capital Markets, and a member of the RBC Sydney Branch Operating Committee. Looking forward, WiBF plans to build on its momentum by expanding its reach and increasing engagement with key stakeholders, industry leaders, and policymakers.
